The Netgear powerline is a for of transporting your internet though your house’s electrical system. basicly if you have a router and a nother device that requires ethernet to do stuff. if you dont want to buy a wireless router becauseof its public access. Or if you dont want to wire a HUGE long cable through your house.
what you do to set it up is that you buy this thing for X amount of dollars take your router output cable, plug it into one of the units and plug that into a wall socet. then you take your other one and plug it into another outlet near the device you want to have intrenet and the connect the internet to the device. it send data throught the electrical system in your house.
this wold be good for anyone who is has a big space with a lot of computers but needs a secure internet conection. the upside to this is that you cn place this in any power outlet near the device. it is also secure as a normal cable connection. the only downside to this is that someone might figure out a way to hack your electircal connection and steal your internet.
